Disney World in April is also known as spring break at Disney World. If you are planning a stay at Disney World at the beginning of this month when the crowds will be heavier you are going to want to make sure you are diligent in putting together your plan. I recommend using our FREE printable daily Disney World planner.
While this month is busy and expected to see heavier crowds in 2020, due to Easter falling on April 12th, we still think April is a great time to come and visit. This is the last month before it gets scorching hot for the remainder of the summer. Also once the Easter crowds clear out the second half of the month is actually quite quiet here at Disney World.
The Weather in Disney World During April
Visiting during this month it’s important to keep a close watch on the weather forecast leading up to your trip. The weather on average ranges from the overnight lows of around 55 to the daytime highs around 83. It’s a good idea to pack as you would for summer during this month. The temperatures are warm in April and it can get quite toasty. It’s a pretty good bet that you are going to be wearing a lot of shorts and tee shirts during this month and don’t forget to pack the sunscreen. As always it’s a good idea to check the weather forecast before you leave.

Disney World Events in April
Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival
The Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is one of my favorite times of the year to visit. Though my allergies will disagree with that statement, it’s worth the sniffles to see the topiaries. The displays are just stunning and something you want to get a chance to experience at least once.
The 2020 dates for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival are March 4th through June 1st. This festival fills Epcot to the brim with flowers and topiaries. If those are your thing it also hosts various food booths all around World Showcase. Lastly, we also love to enjoy the Garden Rocks concert series in the American Pavillion at Epcot. Of course every year the festivals at Epcot seemingly get longer and longer! For a look at last year’s Flower and Garden read our coverage!
Star Wars Rival Weekend
It’s an epic Star Wars weekend featuring rivalries from the galactic saga. Meet some of your favorite Star Wars Characters, pose for photos and earn collectible themed medals! Become part of an immersive event and experience Star Wars in a whole new way. The event includes a 5K, 10K, and a Half Marathon.
