The 2019 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival runs from March, 6 – June 3, 2019, at Walt Disney World. What began in 1994 as a 38-day celebration of Disney-style gardens and topiaries has grown over the years to what it is today, a 90-day spring extravaganza. This guide covers our tips & tricks for experiencing everything the Flower & Garden Festival has to offer. The Flower and Garden Festival is held every spring at Epcot. The festival focuses on special exhibits related to gardening, plants, and flowers. There are other fun events now like the addition of food booths and a concert series as well. So to sum it up the Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival has turned into a mini Food and Wine Festival, just with lots of extra flowers!
2019 Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival Offerings
Topiaries

There is no shortage of flowers this year! Dozens of “flower towers” and beds of multi-colored blooms transform Epcot’s landscape. At least 70,000 bedding plants will surround the Future World east and west lakes alone; on the water, 220 mini-gardens will be set afloat. That’s just one small section of the park!
Among the nearly 100 festival topiaries, you will notice some of your favorites from the past are returning. Some of these include the pandas and Bromeliad dragon at the China pavilion, the Three Caballeros at the Mexico pavilion, Disney-Pixar’s Woody at the American Adventure pavilion and Buzz Lightyear in Future World.

A brand-new Future World interactive play garden and a revved-up Road to Florida 500 garden featuring new games and play challenges will set the pace for family festival fun. The new interactive area in Future World will feature a play maze, a sensory garden, an activity zone, and a covered seating area. The redesigned “Cars” themed garden based on the Pixar sequel, “Cars 3,” will add more fun activities like highway bingo for families.

Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival Outdoor Kitchens

Violet Lemonade from Epcot Flower and Garden Festival
The Outdoor Kitchens scattered around World Showcase are the same type you find during the Food & Wine Festival. Each kiosk offers different food and drinks. Kiosks for the festival are sprinkled throughout World Showcase. A cool new addition this year, each Outdoor Kitchen will feature its own raised-bed or in-ground garden of herbs and produce that show you how to grow what you eat.
If you’ve never attended a festival at Epcot before, it’s worth noting that just ordering from the kiosks will cost you considerably more than eating an actual meal. So if you’re looking to save money, stay away from the Outdoor Kitchens.
Special Flower and Garden Merchandise
A full range of Festival merchandise will be available to commemorate your visit to the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. Below is a look at last years merchandise. I would expect a lot of the same for 2019 just updated with this years theme and logo. If you would like to buy any of the festival merchandise Disney is selling it online at shopDisney.com.

I have been visiting the parks annually since my parents first brought me at just a year old. Recently I was able to fulfill my life long dream of being a Florida local and moved from the wintery Northeast to the sunshine and fun of central Florida. Now I am hoping to share my Disney knowledge with you so you can have the best vacation possible!
