If you are a wine connoisseur look no further than Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. The restaurant is the creation of Master Sommelier, George Miliotes. This two-story restaurant serves up more than 140 wines all available by the glass, bottle…and the ounce!
Because this spot is known for its extensive wine list we had honestly avoided going. We are more soda Master Sommeliers than wine. However, this spot was constantly being brought up not just for their wines but also their food selection. The giant plate of steak had my husband instantly inquiring if we are going to stop in and try out Wine Bar George.

A Look Around Wine Bar George
When you walk in you are instantly greeted with a giant bar. The check-in podium we found tucked just inside on the right. It appeared that the first floor was reserved for the bar area. Those with reservation or wanted to order food were seated upstairs.
This is a look at the seating up on the second story. It had a beautiful view looking out onto the water. It’s right by the boathouse so you could see the amphibious car launch if you were in the right spot. Surprisingly the entire space at Wine Bar George seats 210 guests. You wouldn’t think it though since they have many areas sectioned up throughout the building.
The vibe on the inside is so rustic and on point with a Joanna Gaines Fixer Upper episode. I naturally loved it for this reason!
As you can see above the food menu is simplistic here. It’s all food designed to pair perfectly with your drink of choice. Even with the limited selection, we left full and satisfied with our meal here.
The insane part of the menu comes when you are trying to decide on your drink of choice. I highly recommend checking out some of the options before you arrive.
While we didn’t have a drink here at Wine Bar George I did have to show off how elegant their custom wine glasses looked.
Wine Bar George Dishes
Here is a look at some of the items we tried out here.
With all the hype around the starters here we had to make sure to squeeze in room for a couple off the menu. First up we got the hummus plate. Super fresh and the bread and cucumbers were a perfect pairing. We ran out of stuff to dip at the end but it was still a great appetizer that we would totally get again.
Not going to lie I was most looking forward to the Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites. How could you ever go wrong with fried mac and cheese? It was amazing, the red sauce was a perfect pairing. I was however disappointed in two things. First, there was only four served with a price tag of $12. Second, I had to share half with my husband.
The price is steep, a dish that came in at almost $70, but it was more than enough food for two. I couldn’t even finish my designated half of the dish. The menu calls that it serves 3-4 and I completely agree.
The chef recommends that this dish served medium rare, but picky me requested medium instead. It came out perfectly cooked and stacked on top of roasted potatoes and asparagus. The meat itself was marinated and full of flavor but the chimichurri sauce on top made it even better.
If you are in the mood for a dessert look no further than the Frozcato Sugar Cookie Sandwich. It’s great for dole whip fans but we do wish there was more Pineapple Dole Whip and less cookie.
Wine Bar George Recommendation
I wasn’t expecting to love a wine bar. This just isn’t typically something that would excite me but I am looking forward to going back here again soon. The service and food here was outstanding on our trip. Considering the price of the food and no discounts available I would hope for nothing less. This is a much needed great addition to the food offerings at Disney Springs.
Wine Bar George is an ideal hang out spot. With the mix of tables and lounge chairs, it’s a great spot to have a drink and catch up with friends. I can definitely see this as a popular spot for locals. We did find though that as the night got louder and the place filled up the space did get a little on the loud side. However, we were still able to easily carry on a conversation.

I have been visiting the parks annually since my parents first brought me at just a year old. Recently I was able to fulfill my life long dream of being a Florida local and moved from the wintery Northeast to the sunshine and fun of central Florida. Now I am hoping to share my Disney knowledge with you so you can have the best vacation possible!
