Satu’li Canteen is the only dining location inside of Pandora the World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Fear not, it really is a great and healthy option for the whole family. It stays true to the movie and offers unique items. You will not be finding any chicken tenders and fries at this location. Everyone in our party during our preview really enjoyed their meals.

At Satu’li Canteen, you have the option of sitting indoors or outside. There were loads of seating here, which is great as I expect this will be a packed food service location. Good quick service dining at the Animal Kingdom Theme Park can be hard to find.
Satu’li Canteen Menu Items
There was a menu shakeup recently that changes things up a bit, so if you have eaten here be warned. There is no more rice and grains now it is rice and beans! My husband hates beans so this was a big bummer for him. There is now grilled shrimp as an option instead of fish. Plus the hamburger pods are no longer an adult menu item.
This is a look at the chicken bowl with rice and beans. The rice and beans are hard to see but it’s a brown rice with black beans. Neither my husband or I are crazy about a ton of beans in any dish but fortunately there was a ton in the rice and if you wanted you could pick around them.
The shrimp got two thumbs up with me though be warned it is packed with garlic. The noodles were a perfect pairing with this dish. I got the creamy herb sauce on the side and it paired super well. I was originally worried how any of the sauces would be with the noodles.
Cheeseburger Steamed Pods are an interesting spin on your typical Cheeseburger. I was surprised how much it tasted just like a McDonald’s Burger. I think it’s because there is a blend of ketchup, mustard, and pickle in the meat. The slaw I could have done without, but I have never been a fan of coleslaw. Note that now this item is only available on the kid’s menu.
Build Your Own, Chicken Rice Bowl with the Charred Onion Chimichurri sauce. If you enjoy eating at Chipotle then you can’t go wrong with this menu item. You get to pick your base, meat and then top it off with a sauce.
Build Your Own, Steak Rice Bowl with the Charred Onion Chimichurri sauce. If you enjoy eating at Chipotle then you can’t go wrong with this menu item. You get to pick your base, meat and then top it off with a sauce.
Build Your Own Salad – This combo includes Wood-Grilled Chicken Thighs marinated with Garlic and Olive Oil topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls.
All-Beef Hot Dog wrapped in a Parker House Dough served with Vegetable Chips and Grapes, and small Dasani® Bottled Water or Low fat Milk. It was basically just your standard hot dog we didn’t find much exciting about this item.
Chocolate Cake Dome comes with a Crunchy Cookie Layer and Banana Cream Topping. This chocolate cake is rich so be prepared to have something refreshing to wash it down with.

I have been visiting the parks annually since my parents first brought me at just a year old. Recently I was able to fulfill my life long dream of being a Florida local and moved from the wintery Northeast to the sunshine and fun of central Florida. Now I am hoping to share my Disney knowledge with you so you can have the best vacation possible!
