Maria and Enzo’s Dining Review

Maria and Enzo’s Dining Review

This new edition to Disney Springs is an elegant Italian trattoria set in a stylish airline terminal built in the 1930s. The authentic fare is inspired by Sicilian cuisine and offers a range of handmade pastas, fresh fish, steaks, desserts, and coffees. A full bar provides handcrafted cocktails and a special selection of popular and rare Italian wines. Let’s take a look at our full Maria and Enzo’s dining review.

A Tour Around Maria and Enzo’s

A look at the inside of Maria and Enzo’s restaurant at Disney Springs.

You will find the entrance to Maria and Enzo’s is by STK. As you can see it is actually all part of the same building and is connected to Pizza Ponte, Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar and Restaurant, and the Edison. Why? This I imagine is in part due to the fact they are all run by the same company. Disney does not operate the restaurants listed above the Patina Restaurant Group does.

Check in desk at Maria and Enzos

Keeping with the airport terminal theme you are greeted by a desk much like you would see in an airport. The hostess’ are also dressed in a 30’s style airline attendant outfit.

When you first enter into the seating area of the restaurant you get this moment of wow! You actually enter in on the balcony and walk down a huge staircase to get to the lower level seating area. There is limited seating up on the balcony. Outside of the seating you see pictured above there is also a first class section. I personally think sitting out in the main area with a view is much better. The first class lounge is a bit cave-like.

The decor on the inside has lots of details that nod to an old airport terminal. You will notice gate numbers displayed throughout the inside. As well, at the top of the ceiling, you will find lots of popular destinations marked. The real winner here is the view, it’s hard to tell in the photos but right outside this window is the water as well as the Characters in Flight balloon.

Dining tables at Maria and Enzo

Dishes from Maria and Enzo’s

Here is a look at the dishes we tried from our dinner at Maria and Enzo’s.

Bread maria and Enzo

Our meal started out with a basket of bread and some olive oil. Nothing fancy wish the oil had some seasoning but it was nice to have the bread especially when I found out my dish had no side!

Chicken Parm

I ordered the chicken parmesan. It was a huge portion of meat but I was a little disappointed it didn’t come with a veggie or pasta. On the other hand, we were able to get another serving of bread and that was a good complement to all the meat.

Sicilian Oven-baked Pasta

My husband went for the Sicilian Oven-baked Pasta. It’s easier to see in the picture below that is was almost like a veggie lasagna. On the inside, it has pasta, Meat Ragù, Peas, Zucchini and, Caciocavallo Cheese. I wasn’t wild about this dish because it had a strong Italian sausage taste which I am not a fan of. My husband, on the other hand, loved it. While at first he was disappointed at how small his dish was he quickly found it was very filling and he struggled to finish it at the end.

Maria and Enzo’s Dining Review Recommendation

We liked our experience here at Maria and Enzo’s in Disney Spring but we weren’t blown away by it. I was shocked to find our food be delivered just a few minutes after placing our order. Clearly, our food wasn’t freshly made and they have the dish ready to go and waiting. I worried this may mean our food wasn’t going to be hot but our food was just fine. If you are on the hunt for good authentic Italian food at Disney Springs this is your spot.
