A Tour Around Maya Grill

A look at the inside of the Maya Grill at Coronado Springs Resort.

When you enter into the lobby at Coronado Springs Resort you will need to take a left and walk all the way down to the very end of the corridor. The last stop in the hall is the Maya Grill.

Maya Grill Entrance

There are touches throughout the restaurant that node to its Mayan roots. The painting above can be found as soon as you enter the restaurant. Once you walk into the main dining room you will be greeted with the beginnings of a temple as seen below. The restaurant was lined with windows that overlooked the water at the resort.

Dishes from Maya Grill

Here is a look at the dishes from our dinner at Maya Grill.

Guacamole at Maya Grill

Of course, I had to try the guacamole at Maya Grill. I was a little disappointed in this one. To me, it just tasted like premade guacamole with a little cheese and pickled onions were thrown on top. I enjoyed that it was mild even though it had some sort of pepper mixed in according to the menu. My husband thought I was being a little hard on it and really enjoyed it. The guacamole came with a big basket of freshly made chips.

Chicken Fajita Maya Grill

My husband and I decided to split the chicken fajitas and boy were we glad we did. Even with the two of us chowing down we still couldn’t finish the whole thing. I loved that they brought out a roll of tortillas for each of us. They didn’t make a big deal and they didn’t charge us extra!

Maya Grill Dessert Tray

Since the beginning of the meal, someone had been eyeing the peanut butter dessert shot they had. Here they don’t just bring you a dessert menu they actually bring over a tray filled will all the desserts they offer.

Maya Grill Review Recommendation

On our trip over to Coronado Springs, we were shocked to find the restaurant absolutely empty. It was an amazing change for Disney World to enjoy a peaceful dinner. We were seated by the window that overlooked out onto the water it gave the meal a nice relaxing romantic feel. We were surprised to see how all over the place the menu was. It had some less expensive options mixed with some high dollar items. It’s nice that they give you some options but it was a little confusing. We were happy with our meal but weren’t blown away by the food here. It just could have used something to make it a little extra special. I would say it’s a great stop if you are already staying at the resort but a skip if you have to make a trek to eat here.

We ate at the Maya Grill while we were at Disney. It was my daughter’s birthday. She has a severe peanut allergy and our server, Sari Degeorge, went out of her way to make sure she had a birthday treat to celebrate her special day. She was a wonderful server and so very kind. Many thanks to a special lady.
