Epcot has a special place in my heart. Full disclosure all of the Disney World parks have special places in my heart, so to be specific Epcot holds a lot of memories with my girlfriends. This park is kid-friendly don’t get me wrong, it’s Disney after all, but this is the park is perfect for a moms night out and for adult celebrations. There’s much more to Epcot than just fantastic drinks and eats and it’s one of the best parks to go to without a FastPass. Here’s what to do without a FastPass at Epcot, Disney friends.
Eat and Drink around the World
This is something that many participate in at Epcot; in my opinion, it’s the unattainable task that you enjoy giving your best try. Eating and drinking around the world is a staple non-FastPass experience to partake in at Disney’s Epcot. Exploring each country is a must and this gives you that option with ease. Check out some drinking around the world merch here and additional tips on my favorite Epcot drinks here.
Take your time exploring each country and sample all the amazing sips and eats you see! You could easily spend an entire day exploring, sipping, and sampling eats throughout the world at Epcot. If your kids are in tow have them stop at the Kidcot stops where they can color and collect a different souvenir from each World Showcase country!
Watch the Country Movies
China, France, and Canada all have country presentations that range from 5 minutes to about 15 minutes in running time. These shows cover a variety of aspects of the countries including themed music, special guests (Martin Short is the host in Canada), and the spirit and pride each country holds.
If the country you’re interested in doesn’t have a movie presentation that’s okay! Enjoy exploring the pavilion and I’m certain you’ll gain some insight into the country and some of their well-known attributes.
Meet the Characters
There’s no FastPass option when it comes to character meet and greets around the world showcase, so this is something to add to your list of things to do at Epcot without a FastPass. As you stroll around the world showcase be on the lookout for characters! Rapunzel and Elsa tend to make an entrance, you’ll spot Donald, Mary Poppins, Mulan, Jasmine, and many others throughout the world pavilions. Some of these characters are in greeting spots in front of pavilions and others closer to Bay Lake.
Club Cool
If you’ve not sampled Coke from around the world you’re missing out! At Club Cool, you can sample different flavors of Coca Cola products from all over (free of charge) while cooling off a bit from the Florida heat. Beverly is a must-try challenge for everyone, can you brave drinking a whole cup? I suggest you get photos of people while they are taste testing.
The Grand Fiesta Tour starring the Three Caballeros
This boat ride in Mexico is one of my favorite attractions at Epcot. You can’t reserve a FastPass for this ride and don’t really need to either. I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for this slow moving boat ride staring the Caballeros and a scenic relaxing view. I was made to visit Mexico, and this country has so many things to offer for those visiting without a FastPass.
If you can brave the heat I also recommend catching the talented musicians of Mariachi Cobre joined by a pair of Folklórico (traditional Mexican folk dance) dancers to tell the tale of Miguel Rivera from the Pixar movie Coco. During the show, you will find yourself joining the celebration, and Miguel himself appears in the form of a hand-crafted puppet.
Photo Session with the Disney Walls
The bubblegum wall, the toothpaste wall, and the blueberry wall are all found at Disney’s Epcot. You will spot the bubblegum wall right outside of Spaceship Earth and then take just a few steps over and you’ll be photo ready for the blueberry wall. Head over to The Seas with Nemo and Friends and you’ll find the toothpaste wall (my personal favorite). No FastPass and very limited wait times make photo shoots at these fun popular spots a go-to when exploring Epcot without a FastPass.
Epcot is the best theme park to visit without a FastPass and for so many reasons. I’ve paused to listen to the live band in Canada, caught a free concert during one of the festivals, and enjoyed splitting many of food pairing samples with friends during the popular Food and Wine festival. When taking the kids there’s a variety of options including the splash pad, playground area, exploring all of The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and the themed scavenger hunts. Exploring Epcot requires no FastPass and there’s so much to experience!
You can find me pushing a double stroller through the magic most days.
I’m a toddler boy mom that has a passion for Florida living and all things Disney! As a Florida native and self proclaimed Disney staycation pro, I look forward to guiding you through the magic.
