Photos of Roundup Rodeo BBQ
The entrance to this restaurant sits right at the front of Toy Story Land. You will find the new entrance right behind the huge Sheriff Woody that greets you as you enter the area.
There is a small little holding area outside of Roundup Rodeo, this is where you wait until your called to get your cowboy training.
When it’s your turn to be seated you will get instructions on how to have a rootin’ tootin’ good time here at Roundup Rodeo. Basically, the rowdier you are the better! And if you have to do any tootin’ to do, they show you where the bathrooms are. Which is just to the left of this sign when you first walk in.
When you arrive at the table you will find a stack of paper plates (don’t worry they made them a classy ceramic version). This gave me a good chuckle since these very paper plates were a classic of my childhood and of course, are a perfect representation of something you would find at a backyard cookout.
Arriving in the dining room, you enter a scene depicting a toy rodeo in full swing and come face-to-face with life-size figures. Jessie and Trixie take the reins in the first dining space, while Bo Peep and her sheep command center stage in the second.
The Menu at Roundup Rodeo
Here is a look at the front of the menu for the Roundup Rodeo.
The front of the menu goes over the courses you will receive while dining here. Every meal here will start with the famous cheddar biscuits, they were indeed pretty good! Next, your server will bring out three different salad options.
You will then be brought out all the meats for your main course. The most challenging part of this meal is picking the four sides that you want to start your meal with. Want to try more than four sides? No worries once you finish with the first ones you can order 4 more!
Lastly, each person can pick one of the four dessert options listed.
Food at Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Let’s dive into your options at this family-style restaurant.
The Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits with Sweet Pepper Jelly
Your meal will start out with The Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits and a Sweet Pepper Jelly. The biscuits were good and pretty basic. They weren’t overly dry
Wheezy’s Watermelon Salad
The other dish in the picture above next to the biscuits is Wheezy’s Watermelon Salad. This is basically just plain old watermelon, given all the other food we had to try we didn’t spend all too much attention on this. If you’re not a mint fan like me, no need to worry as I couldn’t even taste the mint on our side of watermelon.
Rootin’ Tootin Tomato Salad
This one was my favorite out of all of our starters. This plant-based dish was compromised of Cucumbers, Pickled Red Onion, and White Balsamic Vinaigrette. I loved it so much that I basically ended up hogging the whole dish and made sure to save some to have with the main course of meats.
Rex’s Romaine and Kale Salad
This was the last of the starting dishes they will bring out to your table as an appetizer. This salad was a combination of Apples, Dried Cranberries, Pumpkin Seeds, and Green Goddess Dressing. It was pretty forgettable for just about everyone at the table, it was a skip in my opinion. While the salad was fresh it lacked any real flavor.
Platter of House-Smoked Meat Items
Enjoy delicious house-smoked meats, including fall-off-the-bone tender pork ribs, brisket smoked low-and-slow in-house and so much more. A robust plant-based menu is available as well, ensuring a meal for the whole family to enjoy.
Reach for the Sides
The Claw! Veggie Slaw, Buckin’ Baked Beans, Mean Old Potato Salad, and Campfire-roasted Vegetables. These were all our second-round side picks. All these sides didn’t have all too much special going on by way of taste. It was pretty traditional BBQ sides, all good, but nothing special.
Slinky Doooooooooog’s Mac & Cheese is pretty much standard Disney mac and cheese. No sharp flavor to this mac and cheese and it’s topped with crushed Goldfish.
The Married Spuds, also known as Loaded Potato Barrels.
Cowpoke Corn on the Cob is basically just grilled street corn. This was a favorite at the table and had lots of great flavor to bring to the meal.
Chuckwagon Desserts
Of course, the centerpiece option here is the Cupcake à la Forky! The cupcake is a Gooey Chocolate Cake, with Graham Cracker, and topped with Buttercream and a Sugar Cookie. If a cupcake isn’t what you are looking for other dessert options include Bo’s Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake, Billy’s Chocolate Silk Pie, Goat’s Apple Pie, and Gruff’s Peach-Strawberry Pie.
Even when the check comes out you get another reminder that you are just a little toy. They give you one of these giant pencils to sign your check with. Which we thought just made an extra special photo moment for the whole family.

Conclusion on Roundup Rodeo BBQ
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, the staff just went above and beyond to make it an extra special meal. As far as where does Roundup Rodeo BBQ rank compared to other dining options, while the food was good, this isn’t the one with the best food. That’s something to consider since the price point of this restaurant is steeper compared to others in the park like, Sci-Fi Dine In. If you are big Toy Story fan or in the need for a super filling, large meal during your day at Hollywood Studios they I would say it’s worth adding Roundup Rodeo BBQ to your reservation list.
I have been visiting the parks annually since my parents first brought me at just a year old. Recently I was able to fulfill my life long dream of being a Florida local and moved from the wintery Northeast to the sunshine and fun of central Florida. Now I am hoping to share my Disney knowledge with you so you can have the best vacation possible!
