Did you know that there is a Starbucks location at every single park in Walt Disney World, including Disney Springs? That’s right, Disney partnered up with the favorite bean brewer back in 2012, but you may not have realized it since you will not see any green mermaid logos in the parks themselves.
Disney is all about storytelling and there’s no way to fit a Seattle brand coffee company into the many themed areas of Disney World, so Starbucks and Disney had to get a little creative. With the exception of Disney Springs, each Starbucks location in Walt Disney World has been given a new name, back story, and vibe to fit into their Disney location.
Is Starbucks at Disney World the Same?
Every Starbucks location in Walt Disney World will have the same Starbucks menu that you know and love. You can get your cold brews, your macchiatos, lattes, and more. Yes, in September even the Disney Starbucks locations go crazy with pumpkin spice fever. If you are a creature of habit and have to have your egg frittata English muffin with your chai tea, they have you covered there, too. Each location has the typical selection of basic breakfast sandwiches, salads, fruit salad, etc.
BUT there is a bonus at Disney Starbucks locations! Frankly, we’ve never been a fan of Starbucks’ dry, over-processed desserts, and apparently, Disney wasn’t having any of that either because part of their partnership is that Disney gets to fill the bakery cases in the Disney Starbucks. And oh boy, do they fill it with things that you just HAVE to have.
Each location will showcase an assortment of typical Disney World desserts, like cookies, the occasional rice cereal treat, or brownie, but each location tries to offer something unique to that shop. While items change out seasonally, each location tries to keep its main spotlight item consistent.
Read through each park’s Starbucks location to learn what they keep in their bakery cases!
Are you a fan of the Starbucks App? Good news star collectors! You can use the Starbucks App or a gift card at any of the Disney Starbucks locations. This means you can use a Starbucks gift card to purchase a Starbucks Disney mug. So be on the lookout for those Starbucks Groupon deals to score some extra savings!
So, what about those Starbucks rewards you worked so hard to rack up? Well, these can only be redeemed at the two Disney Springs locations. You cannot use any of your rewards points towards purchases at the in-parks Starbucks locations, however, you can still accrue points on your purchases there!
What about Mobile Order? Bad news. There is no Mobile Order for any of the in-park Starbucks locations. We’re talking no Mobile Order through the Starbucks app or the Disney app. Don’t ask us why. The Magic Kingdom location in particular can rack up quite a line…
This does not apply to the 2 Disney Springs Starbucks locations! You can use your Starbucks points towards your purchases and utilize Mobile Order.
Where to Find Starbucks in the Parks
The Magic Kingdom Starbucks Location
Located right on Main Street, USA you will be greeted by the sights and smells of the Main Street Bakery.
Speaking of smells, have you ever noticed that in Disney World it always smells like the theme? Like vanilla as you pass the bakery, and grass as you walk through Adventureland, and the ocean in Pirates of the Caribbean. That is all done by design thanks to Disney’s patented Smellitzer system. You can read more about that and more secrets here.
The Main Street Bakery, (ahem, the Starbucks location), is themed to a turn-of-the-century bakery, where the Cast Members wear long dresses, aprons, and bonnets. Adorable. Just as the name suggests, this location always features fun cupcake treats to match the seasons. We have enjoyed hidden Mickey cupcakes, anniversary cakes, and all types of cupcakes just overflowing with frosting that is sure to bring a sugar rush smile to anyone’s face.
Epcot Starbucks Location
The brand new Connections Cafe is the Starbucks location in EPCOT. It is attached to the brand new quick service eaters named the Connections Eatery. Yes, it is confusing that Disney would name them this way, but never fear, they share a building. If you found one, the other is just a few yards away.
The trademark sweet item for Connections Cafe is the Liege Waffles. Now, we’re going to be honest with you here… We don’t understand it. Let’s back up a second. The Liege Waffles are delicious! They’re light and are usually topped with fruit and cream, making them dreamy. BUT. We are in EPCOT. The land was made for foodies by foodies. Why would you buy a waffle treat at Starbucks instead of walking into World Showcase and getting something similar from a festival booth or the France pavilion? We don’t get it… But okay.
Hollywood Studios Starbucks Location
Located right on Hollywood Boulevard is the Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios. The backstory on this location is that it is a repurposed building from where the old trolley cars used to be housed. The whole vibe of this section of Hollywood Studios is so Art Deco glam Hollywood that we’re just so tempted to walk around with finger weave hairstyles and talk in that ridiculous Hollywood accent.
Let’s talk treats.
The Trolley Car Cafe loves to make whoopie pies and call them cookies. They are famous for the Carrot Cake Cookie, which frankly, isn’t a cookie at all. It is 2 moist pieces of carrot cake filled with cream cheese frosting that is dense enough to bite without turning into a crumbling mess. So… it’s a whoopie pie.
Whatever you want to call it, the Trolley Car Cafe has it nailed! Most of the year it is the carrot cake version, but we have seen it change with the seasons, like red velvet at Christmas.
The Animal Kingdom Starbucks Location
The Starbucks location in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Creature Comforts. The theme of this location is amazing. It’s almost too good! It blends right into the African marketplace vibe of Animal Kingdom. As far as the Disney Starbucks go, Creature Comforts is the one that looks the least like an actual Starbucks.
The iconic Disney treat at this location is the Mickey Colossal Cinnamon Roll. It’s literally a Mickey made out of cinnamon rolls: one giant cinnamon roll for the head and 2 little cinnamon rolls for the ears. So cute! Everybody knows that food shaped like Mickey automatically tastes better.
Disney Springs Starbucks Locations
There are actually 2 Starbucks locations in Disney Springs and get this… They are actually called Starbucks and look like every other Starbucks in the country!
The first Starbucks is located right outside of World of Disney in the Marketplace area, and the other is on the West Side near the hot air balloon.
There are no special Disney treats at these locations. They are your regular run-of-the-mill Starbucks, but good news – You can use Mobile Order and Starbucks rewards at these locations!
Let’s be real – Why would you want to go to Starbucks if you are in Disney Springs? We love Starbucks. On September 1st we are first in line for our PSL. But Disney Springs is a coffee paradise. You have Joffrey’s where you can literally put your face on your coffee with special coffee art, Everglazed where you can have your cold brew topped with cereal milk, and Gideon’s Bake Shop with its infamous flavored cold brew. In a place like Disney Springs, put a new twist in your caffeine routine.
Ways You Can Pay for Starbucks at Disney World
Use the Starbucks App? Good news star collectors! You can use the Starbucks App or a gift card at any of the Disney Starbucks locations. This means you can use a Starbucks gift card to purchase a Disney Starbucks mug. So be on the lookout for those Starbucks Groupon deals to score some extra savings.
So what about those Starbucks rewards you worked so hard to rack up? These can only be redeemed at the two Disney Springs locations. At the locations within the theme parks, you are ONLY able to accrue rewards points on your Disney purchases but not redeem existing points.
Using the Disney Dining Plan? Good news all Disney Starbucks locations accept Disney snack credits. Starbucks pastries, treats, and drinks are ALL acceptable uses of a Snack Credit. So if you are using a snack credit make sure you upgrade to a Venti or Trenta because it ain’t gonna cost you extra!
Exclusive Disney Starbucks Mugs
If you are a Starbucks fan you are probably familiar with the “You Are Here” mugs. These coffee cups feature different designs for a destination. Each Disney World theme park has a unique “You Are Here” mug design. The mugs feature different elements of each park. And because they know that once you start a collection you just just stop, so they refresh the designs for the parks. Start building those shelves!
How about this – Do you collect the “You Are Here” cups AND do you love Christmas? Starbucks sells little versions of these cups featuring the Disney parks that are actually tree ornaments. They are absolutely adorable.
Speaking of collectors cups…
Who could forget the 50th Anniversary Starbucks collectible tumbler brawl of 2021?? Collectible Starbucks cups go beyond the classic ceramic mugs, now they are also into the diamond tumblers. Unlike the “You Are Here” collection, these fly off the shelves. The good news is, if you are looking for the Disney Starbucks collab tumblers, they also sell them at World of Disney in Disney Springs, as well as the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom.
What If You Don’t Like Starbucks?
Do you feel like a bit of an odd duck when you tell people that you don’t like Starbucks? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Disney has a second relationship with a different coffee company, Joffrey’s. The contract that Walt Disney World has with Joffrey’s is actually much larger than the one with Starbucks. Not only does each park have MULTIPLE locations, Joffrey’s is also the premier coffee that is available in all deluxe hotels where they each have their own signature brew. Plus, it’s a small Florida business. We love supporting small businesses!
I am a mother of three that has refused to grow up. Adulting is for the birds, so I go to Disney World every chance I get for that magical escape from reality. I believe that Haunted Mansion is the best ride in all of the Disney Parks, and I am fervently in team Happily Ever After for fireworks spectaculars, (sorry, not sorry, Enchanted). Finally, I hope I never grow tired of skipping down Main Street, USA, and my dream come true would be “friends with” the Fairy Godmother in my old age.
