Look Inside of Connections Eatery

Wondering just where this spot is located? It’s right by the front of Epcot. When you see Spaceship Earth head straight ahead but make sure to hang left. When you pass Spaceship Earth on the left you will find Connections Eatery on the left shortly past it. Creations Shop is right across from this dining location.

There is a Starbucks location here as well, if you are looking for the food stay inside the building and keep walking its directly behind the Starbucks ordering counter.

Wide-open spaces are the main way I would describe this dining location. It has mega-tall ceilings and is going for a very open concept vibe. The main focal point is a hand-painted mural that stretches over 160 feet along the back wall of Connections Eatery!

The Imagineer Zach Riddley shares “This original piece, titled “Global Gathering,” is a celebration of various food and beverage staples from around the world, and how we are all connected by enjoying a meal together. Highlighting eight distinct regions of the globe, this vibrant installation depicts people cultivating or gathering around food, such as potatoes from the Andes Mountains in Peru or black pepper from the Malabar Coast of India. The piece also evolves from sunrise in the east to sunset in the west across the full span of the eatery – culminating in one of the largest art installations Imagineering has created. That scale and stunning vibrancy celebrates global diversity with a simple, universal concept: the moments we have in common around food, meals, traditions and memories.”

Here is an up-close look at the seating inside Connections Eatery. It’s got a modern vibe and very much reminded me of Ikea.

Notice when you get your food everything comes on real plates and they even hand out regular silverware here. So when you are done with your meal it’s Panera style where you get to organize your dishes.

Food at Connections Eatery

French Bistro Burger

Connections Eatery Review at Epcot 7

This is a Gourmet Beef Blend topped with, Caramelized Onions, Bacon, Brie, Mushrooms, Dijon Mayonnaise, Toasted Brioche Bun. A solid burger that packs a ton of flavor it really pluses the standard Disney burger.

General Tso Chicken Salad

Connections Eatery Review at Epcot 8

This salad is served with Petite Kale Blend, Broccoli Slaw, Red Bell Pepper, Mandarin Oranges, Edamame, Crispy Wontons, Warm Fried Chicken, General Tso’s Dressing. Out of everything we tried so far this has been one of my favorites. It does pack some heat so if you avoid anything spicy skip this salad.

Pepperoni Pizza

Connections Eatery Review at Epcot 9

Pretty much this is a slice of your classic pizza. It’s topped with Pepperoni, San Marzano Tomato and Basil Sauce, cheese blend, and served with a choice of Side.

Hand-breaded Chicken Sandwich

Connections Eatery Review at Epcot 10

This fried chicken sandwich was served with House-made Pickles, Signature Sauce, and a Toasted Brioche Bun. I thought it echoed the taste of a Chic-fil-a sandwich but personally, I liked this one even better. I also thought I had a very large portion of chicken, not sure if that was a fluke or not but felt like a way more hearty meal compared to the pizza.

Mediterranean Side Salad

Connections Eatery Review at Epcot 11

Served with a very light dressing this is a great option for the hotter Florida days, which is almost all of them!

Apple Pie Gelato Shake

Connections Eatery Review at Epcot 12

Of the two special shakes here this one was my favorite. It has a light apple flavor and is a refreshing treat for a hot summer day.

Mango-Coconut Milk Shake

Connections Eatery Review at Epcot 13

This is a plant-based option topped with Pomegranate-Molasses Drizzle. It was super fruity and insanely thick it made it hard to eat. If you are avoiding dairy this is a great option otherwise I would order the apple pie option above.

Pros and Cons of Connections Eatery

Every dining spot has its pluses and minus let’s take a look at Connections Eatery

Pros of Connections Eatery

  • Large area to eat and offers AC and shade to cool down in.
  • Perfect place to wait with kiddos while big kids go on Cosmic Rewind
  • Basic options for picky eaters and more adventurous choice

Cons of Connections Eatery

  • Gets very busy during peak dining times
  • Now require food order to get a table inside

Conclusion on Connections Eatery

This is a vast improvement from the former food spot here. It offers up your classic Disney chicken nuggets but then has some fun twists like the General Tso Salad and the French Bistro burger. Definitely don’t leave here without trying the Liege Waffle or better yet grab it as a treat with your Starbucks at Epcot.

Lines were super long when we were there. Very hard to find a seat we spent most the time while some of our party of 11 waited for food to find seating. This was before the rule that you can’t sit until you have food. I don’t know how that works, but hopefully better. I just picture many people standing with a tray and no where to sit, cranky kids wanting to eat, and food getting cold with no tables available. I sure hope I am wrong!
