Disney’s Big Top Treats

Disney’s Big Top Treats

I feel like Disney World’s Big Top Treats it somewhat secret even though it really isn’t a secret place. This is one of our favorite spots at Magic Kingdom and I like that it’s not overcrowded and almost like a hidden gem so to speak. While Main Street Confectionary is a must for many I love skipping back to Big Top Treats for my confectionary fix! It’s quiet, it’s in the toddler age play zone, and it’s literally tucked away in the back corner making it a great spot to pause for a sweet treat. Big Top Treats is located inside Big Top Souvenirs in the Magic Kingdom’s Storybook Circus. My oldest prefers anything with marshmallows and my youngest is a chocolate fan so we have our bases covered at Big Top Treats. I like a bit of salt with my sweets so I tend to sway toward toffee or anything nutty, again I’m covered under the Big Top. The last time we were there we snagged our sweets and then walked toward the castle for the fireworks show. Instead of fighting the traffic to get to Main Street Confectionary we walked right into Big Top Treats, picked out our sweets, and left to find our spot for the fireworks in about 3 minutes. This is why I will always show off Big Top Treats.

I don’t think it’s right to keep this place a secret so here’s more details on Big Top Treats!

A few things we love most about Disney’s Big Top Treats:

  • It’s located behind the water play zone.
  • Sweets.
  • It’s connected to a character meet-n-greet.
  • There’s a circus band (Dumbo) that comes out to play music and do silly acts in front of the tent.
  • Sweets.
  • Disney merchandise.
  • Sweets.
  • There’s an area to sit right outside the doors if you want to relax while you eat your sweets.

The true icing on the cake is that Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy are just steps away ready for hugs and photos! This is one of our favourite character meeting areas because the lines are short and move quickly… plus there are treats and merchandise very close by and it doesn’t get any better than that. We visit this area almost every time we visit the theme parks. I suspect there will be a day that we don’t visit the Storybook Circus area but I’ll always visit the Big Top Treats for our favorite theme park sweets.

So now the question is – do you prefer Main Street Confectionary or do you run back to Big Top Treats? If you want a chill spot without a long line I think you might pick Disney’s Big Top Treats first, but don’t neglect Main Street Confectionary – it’s a Disney staple that just can’t be ignored.
