What would make your adult Disney trip even better? Maybe sitting back, listening to music while you enjoy one of a kind drinks. Although Disney is full of fantastic restaurants, rides, and experiences for children and families, it is also home to many state of the art bars. Here is our list of the best Disney World bars!
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto
The first bar I want to mention is Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto which resides at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The bar is tiki themed and takes after the ‘head’ salesman that you see on the Jungle Cruise ride that offers 2 of his heads for 1 on yours. The atmosphere is always lively, fun, yet overall tranquil due to the mood of the décor. The drinks are very large and most recommend sharing one drink with two people. One of the best drinks is the Polynesian Pearl. Many of the drinks have ridiculous names and wacky ingredients. The bar is small and a must do for many adults so it does fill up rather quickly.
ArbracadaBar
Located at Disney’s BoardWalk is ArbracadaBar. This is defiantly one of the most magical bars. When it first opened it was a place where magicians went to hang out and relax. Although that is no longer present, magic still hangs in the walls of this bar. All their drinks have a magician name to them. You never know what magical drink you will discover. You might even get a drink that smokes or glows. Unlike some other bars this one is loud and energetic to match its magician theme.
Tiffins Nomad Lounge
My personal favorite bar is Tiffins Nomad Lounge which is at Disney’s Animal Kingdom right outside Pandora. It truly is a great experience due to its atmosphere, food, and drinks. The lounge pays tribute to old explorers and travelers. You don’t need a reservation in order to eat at the lounge; however, be prepared to wait as it typically fills up within an hour of opening. It is filled with oversize chairs and couches. You have the option to eat inside or outside which is a great feature. It truly is an oasis to sit back and relax with a drink and their famous churros.
Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar
Disney Springs is the place to go for nightlife. One popular bar is Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar. This Indian Jones type outpost is right on the waterfront and home to creative cocktail concoctions such as “The Fountain of Youth.” There are many Indian Jones references and detail in the building structure and décor. Don’t forget to get the pretzels with cheese fondue with your drinks!
Raglan Road Irish Pub
Raglan Road is another very popular location to grab some Irish drinks and traditional Irish foods. Yes, it is a restaurant but it also is a pub by nature. While it is open for lunch and dinner, you won’t fully be able to experience all that Raglan Road has to offer unless you come at night. The music is very loud, lively, and makes everyone jump to their feet. Although the music might be a little loud within the restaurant, it is a very special place to sit back and tap your foot to the beat. The wood on the walls was actually imported from Ireland.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill
Geyser Point Bar & Grill is located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. Even if you are not staying here, I definably recommended visiting this bar after dark. It is next to Bay Lake so you can enjoy the Electrical Water Pageant on the water at night. Geyser Point is not necessary your typical bar. Instead is it more of an outdoor modern looking picnic type shelter. The architecture is beautiful though especially at night. They offer mouthwatering drinks and delicious meals.
La Cava del Tequila
At the World Showcase in Epcot, there are many places to grab drinks. One of the best is La Cava del Tequila located in the Mexico Pavilion. There are about a dozen varieties of tequila that you can order by the glass or sampler flight. They also offer other drinks such as beer, wine, and large margaritas. Something very awesome about this spot is you are actually drinking in a cave. Nothing is better than feeling the cold air on your face, low lighting, Mexican themed décor, and enjoying lounging in comfortable seats drinking your favorite drink.
Rose & Crown Pub
Another must at Epcot’s World Showcase to hit is Rose & Crown Pub. If you like to drink pints, this is your stop. In the evening the music is lively and even more lively crowds surround you. You will be served authentic pub food and the bartenders have a gift to blend up incredible drinks. You will leave thinking you were just in the United Kingdom. If you come at night you can also utilize the outdoor seating area and have great views of the firework show.
The Edison
Another fun location for adults is The Edison located at Disney Springs. Couples can enjoy some classic American cuisine, drinks, and countless amusement. Throughout your time at The Edison, you will see one-of-a-kind acts such as aerialists, live cabarets, and much more. The mood is moody and steampunk themed. It’s a unique look but it works.
Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is located at Epcot’s Italy Pavilion. This is the best location to sample over 200 bottles of wine as you enjoy authentic pasta and cheese. It is a hidden gem that sometime gets overlocked due to its location. You will enjoy stone walls and a delicate fireplace.
Bonus Best Disney World Bars….
I did not include this one in my top 10 since it is not available for everyone to enjoy. Top of the World Lounge is at Bay Lake Tower which is the Disney Vacation Club Resort that is connected to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The lounge is located none other than on the top floor and has 360-degree views. It is the perfect spot to view the Magic Kingdom’s firework show. As with the rest of the Bay Lake Tower, the décor is very modern and open. It has some small Disney accents blended into the décor. The menu is very slim in terms of small plates and appetizers. However, their 7 layer cake is the most recognizable. The drink menu is themed to the location and offers beverages such as Bay Lake Sunset and Monorail Yellow.
As you can see there are dozens and dozens of bars at Disney World and each offers their own flare to their décor and menu. These are my top recommendations that I truly feel you will enjoy and want to go back to multiple times. Make sure to stop at multiple bars to find your niche.
I have a background in elementary education, biology, and travel. Disney has always been a passion of mine since I was first there with my family when I was three years old. The joy and happiness it brings to people is just magical. As a result, we became Disney Vacation Club Members which has allowed us to visit often and with our large extended family. I hope to pass on my knowledge and experience of Disney World to others in order to make their trip flawless and one they will never forget.
