I can’t think of a better stop to eat for those who have kids in their party. TREX Cafe is the same company that created Rainforest Cafe and it’s been a hit with many! There is a seemingly endless line and we were shocked to have a 15-minute wait when we strolled up at 5 pm on a Saturday night. By the time we left the wait was well over an hour! Let’s jump into our TREX Cafe review!
The draw here is really for the atmosphere and less about the food. Every 15 to 20 minutes, you’ll experience a meteor shower inside and watch all the Dinosaurs come to life! We had an almost 5-year-old in our party and he loved it but it did get loud for him at times during the meteor showers. Best of all the more he looked around the more he uncovered, it totally kept him occupied while we waiting for our food to come out.

TREX Cafe Dishes
The following is all the dishes we got from the dinner menu.
This dish was the winner of the table! The cream sauce really made the dish and who can turn down some yummy lobster?
My husband really enjoyed this one and he has gotten it before and liked it. It comes as half of a chicken served with red skinned mashed potatoes and your choice of a side.
I didn’t really care for this one, something about the spread they put on the bread and it was clear my food had sat for awhile as everything was cold.
This was another meh dish. Wasn’t bad, wasn’t great. If you are looking for some amazing fish and chips we definitely recommend eating at Raglan Road instead!
This was a hit! You really can’t go wrong with Dino shaped food!
TREX Cafe Recommendation
Our conclusion on this stop it was a great place to stop at when we have kids in our party otherwise probably be one we would skip. The prices are pretty steep on the menu and the food was just alright which doesn’t have me wanting to rush back here and eat again. What you are paying for when you eat here is the experience and atmosphere. You really can’t beat all the kid’s activities and live show the restaurant provides.
If you are interested in booking a reservation for TREX Cafe you can do so through My Disney Experience.
I have been visiting the parks annually since my parents first brought me at just a year old. Recently I was able to fulfill my life long dream of being a Florida local and moved from the wintery Northeast to the sunshine and fun of central Florida. Now I am hoping to share my Disney knowledge with you so you can have the best vacation possible!
