Is the Disney Visa Card Worth it?
First off I must admit out of all the travel cards out there this one isn’t the best. However, that doesn’t mean getting a Disney Visa is a complete waste. You may just simply want to be able to get into the character meet and greets which don’t require you to actually spend any money. The benefits are really the perk here with this card, not the cash back rewards.
If you don’t have an annual pass or Tables in Wonderland the dining and tour discounts can really be a big saver on your vacation. Oh, and of course, how can I forget that merchandise discount. Even though we have both a Disney World annual pass and Tables in Wonderland card we loved having the merchandise discount on our Disney Cruise.
Before opening any credit card it’s important to weigh in the factors like how will this affect my credit score. Every time you open a new line of credit it has an impact on your credit. Also if you aren’t good at managing your credit card balances that is a serious factor to consider as well. Despite the savings, if you know you have a risk of overspending it won’t be worth it. A Disney Visa should only be considered if you plan on paying off your balance every month. The interest rates are extremely high and you would be much better off with different financing. The only exception to this would be if booking a package that qualified for the special financing rate.
