Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes is located in the Asia section of the Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The menu here is filled with your favorite Asian cuisine. This is the outdoor only quick service counterpart to the Yak and Yeti. If you are eating here it is a little less ideal on those hot scorching summer days. There are some shaded seats so it isn’t all bad. Plus the Gorillas are hanging out next door and often put on a show for you! Let’s take a look at our full Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes dining review.

A Tour Around Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes
A look at Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes at the Animal Kingdom.

Yak and Yeti Counter Service restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I must say hands down this is the spot for breakfast, the breakfast tacos are the best! If you are a vegetarian be sure to check the menu linked above because just about all the options here have some sort of meat in them. Though the selection here has been changing a bit over the years.

I just love how well Disney themes everything. This is a look at the pickup counter where you wait for your food after ordering.

Here is a section of the seating area that is located next to the pickup counter. As you can see most of the tables are covered by a structure or umbrella but there is no air conditioning here.

Across from the seating area, these guys above provide the entertainment. They are quite loud but it depends on the day and time whether they will be out and running around or snoozing away the afternoon.
Dishes from Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes
Here is a look at the dishes we tried from Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafes.

This Kobe burger gets two thumbs up just like the one inside of the sit-down, Yak and Yeti. Lots of flavor in the burger which is what I always look for. I highly recommend stopping here if you are looking for a quick burger to grab at the Animal Kingdom. It’s also great they have this on the menu if you have a family member that isn’t a fan of Asian food. A burger is always a safe backup option for everyone.

This is the Asian Chicken Wrap. The wrap has sliced Chicken, Mixed Greens and Tomatoes served on a Whole Wheat Tortilla with Chips. There was a really great dressing on it that pulled the whole thing together. Everything was freshly made and delicious, no soggy lettuce here!

I actually ended up liking this better than the sandwich I had ordered. Even if it was the middle of a scorching hot summer day here in Florida. You just can’t go wrong with Teriyaki Beef!
Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes Review Recommendation
If you are looking for something new to try this is a great place to stop in. I would say if you are only getting to eat at one quick service spot at the Animal Kingdom I would look into Satuli Canteen or Flame Tree Barbeque before coming here.
