We just heard of more resort reopening delays but this one comes with a twist. Walt Disney World has pushed back the reopening of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to the summer of 2021. However, in the meantime, it’s going to get a bit of a makeover.
The Orlando Sentinel reported:
A Disney World spokeswoman on Monday said changes to the rooms will include a move to a Pacific Ocean-inspired color palette as well as details, patterns and textures from Disney’s “Moana,” an animated film that takes place on the Polynesian island of Motunui.
Bummed out that you can’t stay here, don’t! The Disney Vacation Club units at the Polynesian, including the on-water bungalows and villas, will remain open. So you can still book a stay with all the Polynesian island vibes we all have grown to love. As well, the rest of the DVC resorts are reopened among a few others.
