Epcot

Epcot

Epcot is the park with the large “golf ball” named Spaceship Earth as its icon. Epcot is split into two sections: Future World and The World Showcase both full of attractions, dining, and entertainment. Now you also can’t miss Epcot’s seasonal festivals Flower & Garden in the spring and Food & Wine in the fall, Festival of the Arts in the Winter, and you’ve got a park that requires a lot of knowledge to navigate.

While this is a great park, I don’t recommend it for families focused on little ones, especially if their trip is 5 days or less. There is less to do with kids here and your time would be better spent at another park.

Special Events at Epcot

Festival of the Arts

Disney surprised us in 2017 with another addition to Epcot’s festival lineup!  January 13th through February 20 in 2017 Epcot held it’s first ever art show. It’s focus was on all areas of art, music, and taste!

Flower and Garden Festival

The Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is one of my favorite times of the year to visit. Though my allergies will disagree with that statement, it’s worth the snuffles to see the topieries. The displays are just stunning and something you want to get a chance to experience at least once. Not to mention the festival now includes a variety of food booths.

Food and Wine Festival

What is considered Walt Disney World’s biggest event, Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival in 2017 runs from August 31 – November 13, 2017. This year is once again the longest year ever, Disney is constantly trying to top themselves. If you look back to three years ago the event is now a month longer!

Plan your Day at Epcot

No matter what you choose to do for you day at Epcot you are sure to have a great day. We recommend starting your day in World Showcase, head up Frozen Ever After and Gran Fiesta Tour first. Once you have completed your grand tour around the world it should be the optimal time to visit Future World Attractions. We find that World Showcase really fills up in the late afternoon evening hours with people heading to their dinners and later in the evening people tend to stake out for their Illuminations seats really early.
