Best Places to Eat at Disney World with Toddlers

Best Places to Eat at Disney World with Toddlers

Disney dining is one of my most favorite things about Walt Disney World. We dine with our toddlers very often on Disney property and it ranges from fun quick service meals to the pricy sit-down character meals. While we tend to sway toward the character dining experiences for special events they are hands down my favorite dining experience at Disney. I find many times Disney guests assume you have to dine in a park, but a Disney Springs restaurant made my list so I have covered all areas of the magic for families. There is such a wide variety of places to eat at Disney World with toddlers. Some of these places on the following list we frequent often and we recognize the waiters.

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom

Crystal Palace Tigger

This venue is one we’ve enjoyed a few times, especially when the kids were very little. It’s a beautiful building, great food, and plenty of one on one time with all the characters from the hundred acre wood. I’m not typically a huge buffet person, but this is the best buffet food I’ve ever had. My toddlers not only love the one on one time but how many times they get to see the characters. On average you get to see each character twice during your dining experience. If you’re a fan of Pooh and friends I highly recommend this dining experience with a great view of Magic Kingdom.

Trattoria al Forno at The Boardwalk

Best Places to Eat at Disney World with Toddlers 2

This is probably my favorite place to eat with the kids at Disney World. During breakfast/brunch hours you get to meet Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Prince Eric. The music, the fun, and the dancing made it such a fantastic experience! The food was delicious too. During our trip there for Father’s Day, Eric was actually out sick so Merida came by for a visit. My boys loved meeting each character and enjoyed their breakfast meals too! Like most restaurants on property, it’s best to have a reservation for this Boardwalk dining experience. The characters come by multiple times and they fell in love with my 1-year-old so he got 3 visits. This dining experience is a must!

Bon Voyage Breakfast

Be Our Guest at the Magic Kingdom

Be Our Guest Restaurant

Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious! Both of my boys are big fans of Beauty and the Beast, so dining at Be Our Guest was a must. We enjoyed a breakfast meal there last year and couldn’t get over the details. From what I hear dinner is an even better experience because Belle and The Beast come out for a dance! While we didn’t actually see any characters during the breakfast hours my littles enjoyed the scenery and shouted when they noticed things from the movie. The Be Our Guest location takes you to another country the minute you walk in and the kids feel it too. A fun and very pretty dining experience.

T-Rex Cafe at Disney Springs

Jurassic Chicken Tidbits

Jurassic Chicken Tidbits

This is one of my boy’s favorite places; the ultimate dino experience for kids! This is a full experience with moving dinosaurs inside while you eat, a large gift shop including a dinosaur themed build-a-bear, and a dig site for the kids to play in while waiting for your name to be called. We often walk around the restaurant to capture all the views while I food cooks and it makes time fly for kids. The light up drinks are such fun too!

Pinocchio Village Haus at Magic Kingdom

This is a quick service setting, but don’t be shocked it made the list. Pinocchio Village Haus sits perfectly in the magic with a window view of It’s A Small World. They even have cute signs on the tables to show to those riding the ride! During a Birthday celebration visit, we were gifted desserts and the perfect seat in front of the iconic Disney ride. On the hot days, this is a great place to let the kids enjoy too! This is a fantastic place for kids to eat inside the Magic Kingdom.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe at the Magic Kingdom

Best Places to Eat at Disney World with Toddlers 3

Oh, the dance parties we’ve had at this spot! Another quick service meal option with entertainment for the kids. The only downside is trying to get the kids to eat their kid’s meal when the cast wants them to dance to the music. It’s a good problem to have! This area seems to rotate out the experience. We’ve been for burgers and there was a full-on dance party and then we’ve stopped in for a quick bite and it was just Cosmic Ray playing tunes while you ate. Either way, this is a unique quick service experience located in Tomorrowland that the kid will love.

These 6 locations are not only great places for kids to eat at when visiting Disney World, but they are also places we frequent as much as possible. Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort, Cinderella’s Round Table at the Magic Kingdom, and The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness are 3 dining experiences also worth mention.
