I don’t know very many people who haven’t gone searching for a cheap plane ticket a time or two. In this day and age, traveling is all the rage, but it often ends up being a need as well. Whether you have an emergency that’s taking you a couple of states away or a family vacation, it’s nice to be able to get a price break on flights.
Of course, most of us know the basics of getting cheap tickets such as buying certain days and taking red-eye flights. However, what you might not know is that there are some pretty handy programs out there that can cut down on the guessing game and work when it comes to getting a cheap flight. Plus, it would be nice to not always have to take those red eyes when at all possible.
Skyscanner is just the tool to help you achieve your cheaper flight dreams. I say “dreams” because, for many of us, flight prices are what can hold us back from trips and plans we may have had for quite a while. Finding that cheap flight can make or break a trip which makes all the difference.
There are four ways you can use Skyscanner to your advantage when booking cheap flights.
Know When to Book
Often times, getting the best flight deals is all about timing. This means you have to know when to book in order to get the rock bottom prices. Skyscanner offers this tool which takes the guessing game out of booking. With ticket prices changing every few minutes, it’s vital to have this tool at your disposal in order to save yourself the time and grief of timing it just right.
Skyscanner has a tool that allows you to set price alerts for certain trips. For example, say you want to travel to London the second week in September out of the Chicago airport. You can set up price alerts for these specifications and receive messages when a price has changed. This includes when it goes up and when it goes down. This means when there’s a dramatic change in price, you can nab the ticket at the right time without having to check the prices on your own multiple times a day.
Use the Tool for Finding Cheap Flights to Disney
It’s no secret that Disney trips can be mighty pricey. However, if you plan ahead, you can use the Skyscanner tool that helps you find flights specifically for your Disney trip. When a trip involves your entire family, this tool can be a lifesaver.
Grab a Deal of the Deals Page
Skyscanner has a deals page that has a list of flights that are major deals. If you don’t have any specific plans or even if you do, check out the deals page to see what amazing discounted flights are currently available for the month and take advantage of the extremely low prices from that pre-made list. These deals change every month so, they won’t always be there. These deals are often only for trips within the United States. So, be aware of this when searching the lists.
If you have a specific airport or city you’re leaving from, you can sort out the deals list by selecting flights out of the city or airport in order to narrow it down. This is such a nice searching feature when it comes to searching in the pre-made list. If you’re willing to leave from various airports, you can search for those as well.
All those tips and tricks we’ve read across the internet for the past few years are definitely handy. However, Skyscanner took all of those and made a website that basically bundled it all together for you. This means you can go to one place and all the tips and tricks are easily used with a couple of clicks and minimal time. They also have a phone app if you’re on the go and would like to have quicker access instead of waiting to get to your computer. In other words, I’m telling you to go use Skyscanner. It’s free and there’s no reason at all to not use it.
I have been visiting the parks annually since my parents first brought me at just a year old. Recently I was able to fulfill my life long dream of being a Florida local and moved from the wintery Northeast to the sunshine and fun of central Florida. Now I am hoping to share my Disney knowledge with you so you can have the best vacation possible!
