Did you know there was a brewery located right on the Boardwalk at Walt Disney World? Big River serves a variety of cuisines, including Southwestern, Cajun, fresh seafood, chicken, and pasta, and uses only the freshest ingredients. Here they take the term “Craft Beer” seriously. It’s part art, part science, and part unbridled obsession that makes them devote themselves to making the best beer for our Big River guests. Each beer is made on-site by our on-site local brewer. Making it a true tank to table experience at Big River Grille and Brewing Works.
Big River Grille isn’t exclusive to Disney World in fact the original location is in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Packed with history the original is located in a historic trolley barn, just steps away from Ross’s Landing. Along the Tennessee River, in days gone by, it was here that fresh grains and produce were offloaded for use by local merchants including mills, markets, and of course breweries.

A Tour Around Big River Grille
Take a seat in the indoor dining area or relax on the waterfront outdoor patio as you chow down on sumptuous twists on American pub grub classics.
This restaurant is located on the boardwalk at the Boardwalk Resort. It’s tucked in the back on the way to Jellyrolls. I think it can be easy to miss out on this location but it’s just a short walk from Epcot.
Being known for their craft brew offerings naturally Big River features a large bar and pub seating inside.
Don’t miss out on peering in on their full functioning micro brewery! They really make their own beer here at this location!
Menu Items From Big River Grille and Brewing Works
Here is a look at some of the dishes we tried while dining in at Big River Grille.
Pub-grilled Sandwich
This was the Grilled Chicken sandwich topped with Swiss Cheese, Bacon, Beer-simmered Onions, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, and a Signature Pub Sauce served with Kettle Chips. The chicken was a solid pick and packed with flavor. Considering this was a sit down and Disney pricing this menu pick was an excellent value.
Big Brew Cheeseburger
It’s hard to pass up a good burger. We opted to start with the burger named after the place, pretty hard to go wrong with that right? It’s a grilled burger with Big River Grille Southern Flyer Light Lager and served with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, and Kettle Chips. You may have stellar eyes and notice there is bacon in the picture above. That’s because my husband stole mine for his burger : ) Sharing is caring!
Conclusion on Big River Grille
We love that this location is easier to get into on a last minute notice. We booked our reservations the same night that we went and had no wait for our table when we arrived. If you can I would opt to eat outside here to talk in the sights and sounds of the boardwalk. I also find the inside here can get really loud which is just another plus of opting to eat outside.
The value here is great as we stated earlier. You are eating a slightly more expensive quick service meal but the taste is much better and it’s a full service meal. We recommend giving this hidden gem a try!
