If you’re headed to Hollywood Studios, you may be wondering where you should grab a bite to eat while you’re there. Hollywood Studios has come a long way over the years, adding new restaurants and experiences for guests to enjoy in the form of Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge. With the news that another restaurant -- Roundup Rodeo Barbecue -- will soon be opening, we thought it’d be the perfect time to go over all the best places to eat at Hollywood Studios (as well as the worst) and why.

How Many Restaurants Are in Hollywood Studios?
There are a total of 27 places to eat at Hollywood Studios, including both table service and quick-service dining locations.
Below, we take a look at the best (and worst) places to eat at Hollywood Studios:
Best Table Service in Hollywood Studios
50s Prime Time Cafe
- Price: $15-$34.99
- Advanced Reservation: Yes
- Mobile Order: No
Let’s start this list off strong: 50s Prime Time Cafe. I’m not going to lie, as a teenager who was too “cool” to go to Disney World with my parents, I absolutely hated this restaurant. But now, in my 30s, I realize how much charm it actually has.
Themed to the 1950s, guests truly get to enjoy an interactive experience with their Cast Members in terms of appropriate dining “etiquette.” Dare I say to put your elbows on the table at your own risk, my friends?
The menu includes everything from Aunt Liz’s famous fried chicken to tomato soup, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, and pot roast. If you’re looking for a treat, order the pineapple upside-down cake.

Baseline Tap House
- Price: $14.99 and under
- Advanced Reservation: No
- Mobile Order: No
Baseline Tap House isn’t a restaurant. Rather, it’s a charming little lounge where you can take a break from all the hustle and bustle of the park.
What I love about Baseline Tap House is that it’s perfect for adults who maybe want to send the kids off with grandma and grandpa for a little bit while they enjoy a nice retreat. The menu consists of spiced almonds, pretzels, and a charcuterie board. It has an impressive wine and beer menu, as well.
One thing I’ve noticed is that this place isn't usually crowded, so it’s perfect for a little downtime during an otherwise busy day.
Hollywood & Vine

- Price: $35-$59.99
- Advanced Reservation: Yes
- Mobile Order: No
I may stand in the minority on this, but there isn’t a whole lot of stuff for younger kids to do at Hollywood Studios - but Hollywood & Vine isn’t one of them.
This is the only character dining experience on property and depending on the season, you’ll see Minnie and the gang dressed in different, celebratory outfits. They have a Junior Play ‘n’ Dine breakfast featuring some of your favorite characters from Disney Junior, including Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Goofy, and Doc McStuffins.
Hollywood & Vine offers a buffet with offerings such as peel-n-eat shrimp, salmon, macaroni and cheese, and pork belly on the menu. Though this is one of the most expensive dining experiences at the park, it’s perfect for families who want to make even more magical memories.
The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge

- Price: $14.99 and under
- Advanced Reservation: No
- Mobile Order: No
Like the Baseline Tap House, the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is great for adults visiting Hollywood Studios. Not only can you sit outside, but depending on what time you visit, you may even get a great, seated view of the parade that goes down Hollywood Boulevard.
Here, you’ll have access to signature cocktails, as well as the Famous Cobb Salad. You can also get a charcuterie board to go with your wine flight.
While I don’t always make time for this on my visits, I really should because it’s perfect for taking a break and taking in the magical sights of Hollywood Studios without having to actually sit down for an entire meal. Eating here is usually enough to just hold me over until dinner.

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano

- Price: $15-$34.99
- Advanced Reservation: Yes
- Mobile Order: No
There are two Italian restaurants at Hollywood Studios. This is the good one (we’ll talk about that other one later). Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is one of those restaurants that I feel gets overlooked a lot, but it really shouldn’t.
The menu includes fresh mozzarella, shrimp campanelle, pork chops, and classic spaghetti and meatballs. What I think really sells this restaurant though is the theming. Not only are you dining beneath cascading, twinkling lights and vines, but it doesn’t feel like you’re at an Orlando theme park. It actually feels like a local, family-owned restaurant.
Tune-In Lounge
- Price: $14.99 and under
- Advanced Reservation: No
- Mobile Order: No
Hollywood Studios has a lot of lounges, doesn’t it? The Tune-In Lounge, located at 50s Prime Time Cafe, offers walk-in availability and in my opinion, is one of the coolest themed spots on property. No, seriously, you’re drinking in what looks like a 1950s living room, furnished with a bookcase, retro TV, and couch.
Plus, the drinks come with electric ice cubes. What’s cooler than that?
Worst Table Service Restaurants in Hollywood Studios
Unlike Magic Kingdom, which only had a few “bad” table service spots, Hollywood Studios is kind of split down the middle. While this list is my own personal opinion, you may be surprised by my ranking:
The Hollywood Brown Derby

- Price: $35-$59.99
- Advanced Reservations: Yes
- Mobile Order: No
Let me preface this by saying that I adore the history that comes with the Hollywood Brown Derby. Let me also state that I love how you can dine with an Imagineer here and learn what really goes on “behind the magic.”
But now that that’s out of the way, the food served at the Hollywood Brown Derby isn’t really deserving of all the hype. The cobb salad? Meh. The Chicken Coq au Vin? Meh.
Don’t get me wrong, it does have some good things including the filet mignon and braised short rib, but everything else on the menu is too weird for my liking…and too expensive if you’re traveling with a large family.
For me, this restaurant is a one-and-done experience. If you’re looking for a unique dining experience with a better menu, there are so many better options available at the Disney resorts.
Oga’s Cantina

- Price: $15-$34.99
- Advanced Reservation: Yes
- Mobile Order: No
This is another one that might get me a little hate, but there just aren’t enough tables. That’s it. The menu is cool. The atmosphere is awesome. The Fuzzy Taunton? Weird, but I like it.
If they opened it up a bit more and didn’t make it basically standing room only, I’d be all for this restaurant because I do think, in terms of decor and theming, it’s one of the best at all of the parks. But, they open up reservations at like 9:00 am. Who wants to stand first thing in the morning?

PizzeRizzo

Price: $14.99 and under
Advanced Reservation: No
Mobile Order: Yes
Rizzo the Rat is a great Muppets character, but he sure does not make a good pizza. The menu here is typical of what you’d expect to get in a theme park: pizza, salad, and a meatball sub. But unfortunately, none of it is good. The pizza is like biting into cardboard.
That being said, it always has ample seating, on both floors and outside. So, even though I don’t like the food here, I do like grabbing a bottle of water and sitting upstairs to give my feet a rest and enjoy the air conditioning. So, it does get points for that.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

Price: $15-$34.99
Advanced Reservation: Yes
Mobile Order: No
If you don’t already hate me for this list, I’m pretty sure you’re about to because I know how universally loved the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is…but, it’s not my favorite.
The food is so-so (your usual assortment of hamburgers, milkshakes, and onion rings). The cheesy science fiction promos and clips they show are really cool, and the overall theming of an outdoor drive-in is so unique and perfect for what Hollywood Studios stood for back in the day.
What makes this restaurant lose points is that it is way too cluttered. Unless you’re traveling with a party of four, two party guests are sitting way too close to strangers to the point where you feel like you’re sitting on top of one another and part of each other’s conversations. It’s just too claustrophobic for me, which is why it ranks as low as it does.
If they made more space, I’d recommend this dining experience a thousand times over.
Best Quick Service Locations in Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios actually has a ton of quick service locations, with the majority of them offering top-notch variety at affordable prices. The best quick service locations in Hollywood Studios include:
Anaheim Produce
- Price: $14.99 and under
- Advanced Reservation: No
- Mobile Order: No
Here, you’ll be able to purchase an assortment of healthy food including but not limited to apples, oranges, and bananas.
But, you can also grab frozen lemonade, ice cream bars, Mickey-shaped pretzels, and churros here, offering so much variety for everyone in your party. Plus, because it’s kind of hidden away, it rarely has a long line.
Backlot Express
- Price: $14.99 and under
- Advanced Reservation: No
- Mobile Order: Yes
The Backlot Express has it all: ample seating, options for mobile ordering, and a menu with a lot of variety, including tofu bowls, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, salads, and pulled pork burgers. They also have that adorable Wookiee Cookie we’re always talking about, which are two oatmeal cookies filled with vanilla cream.
The menu is not only affordable but offers great options for both parents and kids, which is why it ranks as one of the best quick service locations in all of Hollywood Studios.
Catalina Eddie’s
- Price: $14.99 and under
- Advanced Reservation: No
