Romantic Ways to Celebrate Your Anniversary at Disney World

It’s anniversary day for us and I realized I hadn’t yet taken the time to share with you great ideas for celebrating your wedding anniversary at Disney World. Honestly, at Disney you can’t go wrong I am just always happy to get time soaking up the magic of the parks. This year we are keeping it simple and enjoying a meal at the same place we did on our wedding night. But there are plenty of more options we could have picked from! Here are some romantic ways to celebrate your anniversary at Disney World! 

Anniversary Buttons

Let us start with the free and easy way to share you are celebrating while at Disney World. You can pick up an anniversary celebration button in the park or at your hotel. I find the easiest place to obtain one is at the front desk of your Disney resort hotel when you check-in.

If your hotel is not an option celebration buttons also be found in Guest Relations at all four parks plus Disney Springs Guest Relations. We have also found some at some store registers on Main Street, U.S.A.

Don’t just pick up this button be sure to wear it as well! If you are sporting your anniversary button expect to hear a lot of congratulations throughout your trip. Plus you never know when a Disney Cast Member just may surprise you will a little something extra. 

The Spa

I don’t know about you but I would take a spa day on any vacation! So why not splurge and mark the occasion when you are celebrating something special like your wedding?

Disney has two full-service spas on Disney property, one at the Grand Floridian and the second at Saratoga Springs. And rejoice, couple massages are on the list! For a full listing of spa service, you can browse through the offerings on Disney’s website.

Signature Dining

This is a must-do for us every year! Since we got married here at Walt Disney World we always plan to at least spend our anniversary eating at one of the many nice Disney World Restaurants. Our normal go-to is California Grill as this is where we dined on the night of our wedding. It also helps that it’s pretty much our favorite spot to eat.

Other great places to dine for anniversary dinners are Yachtsman Steakhouse, Narcoossee’s, Citricos, Cinderella’s Royal Table and of Course Victoria and Alberts. You will probably get romantic bonus points if you pick on of the Disney restaurants with a firework view!

Deluxe Resort

There is just an extra step above in everything at any of Disney World’s Deluxe resorts. You have world-class pools all adorned with awesome water slides. The rooms are bigger the free shampoo is nicer! Need I go on with all the better deluxe extras? In-Room Celebrations

If you’re up for a splurge you can do a special in-room Surprise Celebration! The ultimate package comes at a steep price of $550! Previously I had never understood why people opted for these celebrations but after experiencing one on our honeymoon I see why they are well worth the cost!

Fireworks

There is nothing like Disney World fireworks. The shows keep getting bigger and better every year. You can keep it simple and watch the fireworks inside one of the parks but did you know there are even more ways to watch the fireworks? Disney also hosts dessert parties with special reserved viewing spots for the fireworks. There are several Disney World restaurants where you can watch fireworks while you eat, as mentioned above. Disney even sells tickets to special private firework cruises at Epcot and Magic Kingdom.  

Carriage Rides

You can also take a romantic carriage ride along the riverbanks over at Fort Wilderness. Carriage rides are also offered over at Port Orleans Riverside.

Backstage Tour

We love getting to take a peek in the behind the scenes life at Disney World. One of our favorite tours we have done together is over at the Animal Kingdom and it’s called the Wild Africa Trek. There are so many more tours though you can go underneath the Magic Kingdom on the Key to the Kingdom Tour. If Epcot is your favorite be sure to checkout Undiscovered Future World tour. 

Photo Shoot

Did you know that you can schedule your very own photoshoot at Disney World? Disney offers this service with their own photographers who have access to places all over the parks and resorts. I am talking early before the parks open type of shots.

Looking for something different? There is also a slew of awesome local photographers that you can book for shoots at the parks. Vow Renewals

Really want to splurge on your anniversary trip? You could always consider splurging on having a vow renewal at Disney World.
