Around the entire resort, you will find many nods to Walt Disney himself and his adventures in Europe. A Look Around Topolino’s Terrace

In order to get to Topolino’s Terrace, you must go to the top floor of the Riviera hotel. This restaurant is only accessible via the East Wing elevators which were easily found by following signs from the main hotel lobby. As soon as you exit the elevators you are greeted with this lavish entryway and the spot to check-in for your meal. We were a little early on our night so off to the left we were able to relax and hang out in their seating area.

The main dining area consists of one giant room. This does make for a noisier meal but it wasn’t overly bad, like we find at some of the other dining spots around Disney World property. The floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap the entire restaurant offer unique views of Disney World that you don’t want to miss out on while dining here. Be sure to take a peek outside to see the resort’s pool, courtyard area, and even the Disney World theme parks too!

This is a look at the bar/lounge area that you can also hang out in while waiting for your meal. It is inside where the rest of the main dining area is. The attention to detail is evident, from the meticulously set tables to the subtle touches of Disney-themed accents that pay homage to Mickey and his friends.

Topolino’s Terrace Dinner Dishes

Here is a look at some of the items we tried at our dinner at Topolino’s Terrace.

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 5

With every meal, you do get a bread service. It may look like a fancy bread but it is actually a traditional baguette recipe. What makes it look so special is that before they bake it they take scissors and cut into it. This is what gives it the look of wheat stocks when it comes out of the oven. The bread did indeed taste fresh and was a hit with our family. We were even able to sneak some extra home in our doggie bags at the end of the meal.

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 6

Your bread is brought out with an accompaniment of olive oil. What I need to pause here and say is this is where I found out how much I loved the experience of dining at Topolino’s Terrace. Our waiter, Christopher (highly recommend requesting), went into deep storytelling for each course of our meal. Here is when we hear in-depth detail about the two olive oils you are about to try!

One is kalamata olive juice that is from France and referred to as black olive oil. The other is from the heel boot of Italy – they take their olive oil seriously. The tiny town has more olive trees than people.

Topolino’s Terrace Dinner Entrees

Winter Pumpkin Ravioli

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 7

For the sake of research, we wanted to make sure that we tasted at least one of the appetizer options from Topolino’s Terrace. I went with the Winter Pumpkin Ravioli. This was a cross between a soup and pasta dish. It consists of Wild Mushroom Conserva, Brodo, Pumpkin Seed Oil. I was surprised when the waiter told us the ingredients, you would think there was meat in the dish but there was none! It’s a mix of mushrooms and other things that make up the broth but still has a rich meaty flavor.

Gnocchi

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 8

Do not let the duck scare you away. This gnocchi is the softest you will ever have covered with duck confit, pesto Bianco, Garden Kale, Pine Nuts. I was a little hesitant but so many people raved about this dish and ultimately our fantastic waiter sold us that it was the best item on the whole menu. I don’t think I can argue with this statement after having it. This is definitely an item that is a must-get every visit.

Filet Mignon

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 9

It’s probably no surprise if you have read any of our other restaurant reviews that we went right for trying out the filet first! This dish did NOT disappoint, I was really sad that I didn’t get it myself. The steak was so tender and flavorful. As much as it pains me to say this I have to admit it was better than our favorite California Grill! Speaking of it, if you want to know what the top Disney steaks are read Where to Find the Best Steak at Disney World.

The steak was paired with Truffled Mashed Potatoes, Charred Torpedo Onion, Forest Mushroom Purée, Vinaigrette. The flavors were all a perfect pairing like I said above, we rate this dish a 10 out of 10.

Lobster Fettuccine

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 11

I was excited to see a menu update for our return back to Topolino. This Lobster Fettuccine has English Peas, sauce Américaine, Pickled Onions, and the plate is finished with beautiful Squid Ink Tuile. This was definitely a savory menu item, it is packed with tons of spring flavors. I think it was the combo of the peas and the micro greens.

Rigatoni

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 12

Since the pasta was made fresh I had my sights set on getting one of their pasta dishes. I ended up deciding on going with the Rigatoni. It is a dish of Braised Chicken Sugo, Dandelion Greens, Parmesano-Reggiano. The chicken was melt in your mouth and the pasta was just as fresh and tasty as I hoped.

My only complaint was how rich the sauce was. While the taste was great it made it hard to even come close to finish my dinner. If you have any picky eaters who are worried about the dandelion greens, they shouldn’t be! They are right on top and can easily be picked off.

Desserts at Topolino’s Terrace

Valrhona Chocolate Cake

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 13

After watching all the fabulous desserts come out around us we knew we needed to make some room to try one ourselves. Being big chocolate lovers we went with the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake. I was tempted to try Fruits of the Forest dessert since it was labeled by our waiter as the most Instagram-able dessert at Disney!

This cake is much like warm chocolate cake at other dining spots. I mean you can never really go wrong with this dessert choice. What makes this one a little special is all the caramel that is melted in the middle that oozes out once you start eating.

Vanilla Crème Brûlée

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 14

This Crème Brûlée comes surrounded by Morello Cherry Compote, Strawberry Foam, Sugared Beignets, and Chocolate Meringues! While I still love the chocolate cake more this dessert is right up there with the cake.

Lemon Madeleine

Topolino's Terrace Dinner Review 15

A nice little surprise from our waiter on our return trip was this lemon madeleine. It had great flavor and was a perfect finish to our meal, after the warm chocolate cake of course.

Our Recommendation

Topolino’s Terrace is not just a restaurant; it’s an elevated dining experience where culinary artistry meets Disney enchantment. From its breathtaking views to its impeccable service and outstanding cuisine, this rooftop gem invites you to indulge in a memorable and magical dining adventure.

We have been back to Topolino’s Terrace on several occasions to see if it holds up just as strongly as it did for us the first time. The service was some of the best we have ever experienced at Disney World. On top of that, the food was a true joy with perfect flavor pairings.

Firework Viewing at Topolino’s Terrace

Disney markets this restaurant as one where you can catch views of not one firework show, but three! First up on most nights is the firework show at Hollywood Studios followed by Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Everything is off in the distance so it isn’t quite the same effect as catching the Magic Kingdom fireworks at Calfornia Grill or Narcoossee’s. If you eat early and your reservation doesn’t fall during fireworks don’t worry you can always save your receipt and come back when they do start.
